Web Design, Development and Build


We can design, build and host your website for you, all along the way following a phased approach. We feel that this approach enables both parties to agree each stage before moving onto the next and keeps you in total control - we won't run off and put your site live until you're 100% happy with what we have done so far! You can also pay for the work in a phased fashion which again ensures that you won't have a massive bill at the end of the job. We'll step through these phases and the costs for each phase in the following sections.

Phase 1 - Design Phase
We (or one of our approved web designers) work with you to design the site to your requirements.

You can provide as much or as little input into this phase as you require, however you will at least need to provide us with logos and wording in paper form.

The hosting options in step 3 and optional extras in step 4 may impact how we design your site as these will affect your budget.

AVERAGE COST:  £100  (one-off fee, may vary depending on complexity of design and/or number of pages to be designed, we will inform you of the rough cost before we start designing)

NB. If you already have a design for your site and wish to avoid the above cost, you will need to provide us with logos, colours and designs in electronic form, no design phase = no fee!

Phase 2 - Coding (Building) Phase
Once you sign off the above design, we start coding the site. Before we commence, we will give you an exact coding fee and an estimated completion date that we aim to meet. We will liaise with you regularly during the coding phase and let you see prototypes of the code to make sure you're happy with everything.

AVERAGE COST:  From £500 (one-off fee, based on one of our hosting & functionality packages below, larger solutions will be subject to a larger fee. This fee also applies to re-coding existing sites. Again, this fee may vary depending on complexity of site and/or number of pages to be coded)

Phase 3 - Choose your hosting package
We have a number of web hosting packages that will suit your needs, these are outlined here. However if all this blinds you with science, we will tell you that a basic website with with 2-3 pages and some of the functionality below should cost you no more than £20 per month. Phase 4 - Choose optional extras for your site
The following optional extras can be added to your site. Again these will need to be considered during the design phase. Once you have decided on these, we will register your domain, setup your account and get you online *

Email A Friend
Your visitors can complete a simple form on your site providing us with email address/name/other details about their friend. The system then automatically sends their friend an email with wording that you choose, telling them all about your site (see similar functionality on www.southfields.net).

COST: £50 FREE (introductory offer)

NewsPost
NewsPost is our very own news/site update posting/admin system. You can choose one or more areas on your site that you may want to update on a regular basis - e.g. a 'news/what's new' section on the front page of your site. We give you a system whereby you can easily update this section by completing a simple form that sits inside a secure area in your site (the 'news' section, links section and front pages of www.southfields.net are updated using this functionality).

COST:£100 per section

Email Us/Call Me Form
Your visitors fill out a simple form asking you to call them or emailing you an enquiry.

COST: £50 FREE (introductory offer)

Bulletin Board / Small Ads
You can have one or more bulletin/message boards or 'small ads' sections on your site that users can quickly and easily update. You may wish to use this for customer feedback or customer suggestions! (the 'SmallAds/Suggestion Box' section of www.southfields.net is updated using this functionality).

COST: £300

* Transfer and/or registration fees are normally quite small and are absorbed in your monthly hosting fee, however if we are charged an unusually high amount then we will need to pass this cost onto you - don't worry though, we will speak to you first before we do anything.
